BANDUNG – 2018 is the fourth time the Ciletuh-Palabuhanratu Geopark Festival has been held by West Java Tourism and Culture Agency since 2015. The festival is included in the list of the Republic of Indonesia’s Ministry of Tourism National Festival, this time it will be more festive than previous festivals. The festival involves hundreds of artists who will present a variety of interesting attractions, from cultural and artistic performances as well as typical culinary of Ciletuh-Pelabuhanratu Geopark. Involving the local community, the various artist that will be displayed include pencak silat, gondang, cepet, wayang golek, tutuntungan, and others.

In addition, interesting activities that previously did not exist became a special attraction, such as; music festival, hammocking, family camp, skylodge, marathon trail run, kids adventure, bike adventure, paramotor shows, mural festivals, coffee and tobacco festivals, drawing and coloring competitions, trivia quizzes about Ciletuh-Palabuhanratu Geopark, Photography Contests, Infographic competitions, Competition for painting trash bins, article writing competition, Instagram Challenge, Vlog Competition.

The existence of a new route to Ciletuh-Palabuhanratu UNESCO Global Geopark makes access to the location faster. The new route that passes through the coastline stretches 33 km, starting from Simpang Loji on Pelabuhan Ratu Street, passing Muara Cisaar in Ciemas District to Puncak Darma, which then continues to the Palangpang which is the center of the Ciletuh Geopark. This new path clearly cuts the distance that previously reached 71 km to reach Palangpang. In Palangpang and Tamanjaya there are quite a number of inns with relatively affordable prices.
