Anything in the hands of creative people can be transformed into beautiful goods and has a sale value. Waste can be utilized to be economic value goods. Like the couple from Cijengkol, Caringin Nunggal Village, District Waluran, Sukabumi Region.
Sulaeman (51 years old) and Yuningsih (47 yearsold) have been seven months of pioneering creative effort. They make secondhand stuffs or waste into goods that have economic value. In carrying out their creative economic business, Yuningsih who was met at the National Geopark Culture Arts Festival of Ciletuh-Palabuhanratu on SatRadar 210, Surade Subdistrict explained that they share their duties. Sulaeman creates waste from coconut shells to be made into a few of handicrafts such as teapots, cups, flower vases and miniature traditional wooden or roots tools.
While Yuningsih undertake the task of processing waste such as plastic bottles, newspapers, patchwork and others to be made into accessories. They are joined in the community of Palapah, from where they get information and motivation to run this creative business.
Each of the handicrafts sold range from 15 thousand to 400 thousand, according to their level of difficulty. Handicraft owned by this couples has been often joined in the exhibition of creative industries that impact on the widespread network of buyers from time to time.
