SUKABUMI – Before the arrival of assessors in August, locals who joined grup named POKMASI (Conservation Community Groups) held a mangrove conservation activity initiated by several stakeholders and local communities for the sustainability of the Ciletuh-Palabuhanratu National Geopark.
The community assisted by the government and private element is running smoothly, more than 500 mangrove seedlings have been planted in ciletuh bay, around Cikadal Beach. The people there are very happy and appreciate the presence and assistance of all parties who have helped the conservation activities.
“Alhamdulillah, all cares, all helpful, all working together for a better environment in Geopark. Hopefully in the this nature uniqueness can be maintained here “, said Taufik, one of the residents. “This beach will also be assessed later by UNESCO assessors, Insya Allah, it can be a positive value with this conservation activities” he added.
Cikadal Beach is planned to be visited also by two assessors who planned to arrive in Indonesia on July 31, 2017, and carry out its activities for 4 days.
