SUKABUMI – West Java Governor Ahmad Heryawan (Aher) at the end of 2017 reviewed the road Loji – Puncak Darma located in Geopark Ciletuh-Palabuhanratu, Sukabumi. The new road that is still in a smooth condition called “The Belt of Ciletuh-Palabuhanratu Geopark”.
The road connecting Loji with Puncak Darma has a length of 23 km. Quoted from PR Jabar, West Java Governor Ahmad Heryawan said the construction of the road is the first stage of the three stages for the three paths to Puncak Darma.
The natural beauty presented at Jalan Loji – Puncak Darma has no doubt. We can enjoy the beauty of the coast and green forest and hills on the other side. Ahmad Heryawan who was accompanied by the Head of Bina Marga and Spatial Planning of West Java M Guntoro, Head of West Java Transportation Department Dedi Taufik, and Head of West Java Fisheries and Maritime Affairs, Djafar Ismail stated, “This further confirms that the region is worthy of being a tourist area and a part the most core of Geopark Ciletuh-Palabuhan Ratu. The area passed by the road that stretches from Loji up to Puncak Darma and then to Palangpang and then we continue to trace up to Ujung Genteng”.
“If that (everything) is finished, then the Geopark Belt is visible, so the Geopark belt stretches from Cibareno through the direction of Palabuhan Ratu and then into the Loji then to the forest area up to Puncak Darma down to Palangpang until continue down the beach to the Ujung Genteng. That is The Ciletuh-Palabuhanratu Belt”, he explained. According to him, the construction of this road is history. Because there is cooperation between the West Java Provincial Government with the community. This road was built without the land acquisition process, because the community donated the land for the construction of roads has cost the West Java provincial budget to $ 200 billion.
“It is also a good history, cooperation between the Provincial Government (West Java) with the community, because the road is built quickly from the beginning of land management until the development can be done one year,”. Ahmad Heryawan said, “And uniquely, all the land does not buy, the people grant the land, because of course they also want the road here. So that their land (community) becomes affordable for accessibility and tourism activities can also be enjoyed well”, Ahmad Heryawan added.
The plan is from the three paths that are and will be done, namely the path Waluran-Puncak Darma, Loji-Puncak Darma, and Paltiga-Puncak Darma forward should not be passed by large buses and trucks due to its designation into a tourist area to revive the region’s economy and maintenance.
“So, if there is a group of tourists who use the bus, we will provide the bus terminal, then they (tourists) can enjoy (road and geopark beauty) with small vehicles or tourist vehicles so that economic life and the same way not quickly broken, “said Aher. “Plus the second, we want to keep clean. If the vehicle here specifically for tourism, then the cleanliness can be guaranteed well, besides of course with the provision of garbage. And habituation are well regulated, “he added.
“Such a thing should we think about in the future, so that this area can be a future tourism area, if Bali is the present,” he said. “As long as it is well organized, we will coordinate with the community so that the people understand. The presence of this geopark area is not for the misery of the people, but in order to open up more prosperous opportunities and in the right way, in a friendly way with nature, not to harm nature”, said Ahmad Heryawan, quoted from the West Java Provincial Government website.
