West Java Governor Ahmad Heryawan said although West Java is not included in the top 10 tourist destinations main priority issued by the Ministry of Tourism does not mean there are no headlines to build a global destination. West Java Provincial Government is committed to continue to push and make the area of the National Geopark Ciletuh-Palahuhanratu as the main destinations in tourism and culture in West Java.
The government of West Java province earlier this year will build the fastest way to access Geoarea Ciletuh, Sukabumi, and a new road along 33 kilometers. By the early 2017, the Governor made a working visit to the Sukabumi district in West Java regional development plans in the southern part of the Mega Plaza Amphitheatre Panenjoan, Sukabumi. Aher said that the construction of the road, which will cost Rp 200 billion this can save time up to 2.5 hours and compared with the old road usually tourists lines who are going to Geopark Ciletuh through Palabuhanratu should take time for 3 hours. In addition to creating a new way, in 2017 the Government of West Java province will also make the entry gate at the end of the bridge Geopark Ciletuh Bagbagan, Cidadap Village, Simpenan District.
With the development plan, the Governor of West Java to visit together the heads of departments as well as relevant stakeholders National Geopark development Ciletuh-Palabuhanratu to see how and to what extent the developments in the region. “If it is completed, we can enjoy the geopark region from Loji until Palangpang, Palabuhanratu,” he said. Aher added that in this new road will be built any new destinations at a certain point for the tourists to be photographed.
In addition to developing Ciletuh-Palabuhanratu Geopark Ciletuh specially, Aher said the provincial government also continues to develop and build the economic potential of travel and other cultures that are spread throughout “Tatar Parahyangan”.
