Workshop Seminar and Training on Biodiversity Management in the National Geopark Region of Ciletuh-Palabuhanratu is an event organized by Universitas Padjadjaran as well as partner of National Geopark Ciletuh-Palabuhanratu. The seminar was attended by various groups interested in the development of the region consisting of 8 districts in Sukabumi Regency.
In addition to seminars from several speakers including, Vice Governor of West Java H. Deddy Mizwar and Professor at Universitas Padjadjaran Prof. Ir. Mega Fatimah Rosana, M.Sc, Ph.D which discusses the characteristics, development and also the prospect of the National Geopark Region Ciletuh-Palabuhanratu. Attended also lecturers from other universities, such as Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia represented by Geography Education Study Program and Resort and Leisure Management.
This workshop seminar intends to inform the actual state of the region also shows the results of workshops and biodiversity management training participated by participating local villagers. Accidentally picked up by the Universitas Padjadjaran represented by Biological Studies Program of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (MIPA) as a form of support seriousness of Padjadjaran University in the development of Geopark which has been running for ± 4 years.
The event, held at Bale Rucita, Rectorate Building in Jatinangor, was lively and ended with award plaque awarding to anyone who has helped in the development of the National Geopark Region of Ciletuh-Palabuhanratu, including local people, government and private.
